Evaluation of Courses

In accordance with the Rectorate's evaluation plan, the courses are evaluated by the students in a mandatory three-semester cycle.

The evaluation of courses serves to improve teaching activities at the University of Vienna, in particular by providing

• A feedback instrument for course instructors and
• A feedback and planning instrument for the directors of studies

Every semester, around 2,000 courses are evaluated on a mandatory basis and a further 1,300 on a voluntary basis.
